¿Qué es? / What is it?

La Rosario is a queer living space for artists, cultural entrepreneurs and art patrons. Our goal is to create a space for people to live bravely, whether you stay as resident nomad, are passing by as a visitor, looking for a place to work remotely or just need a place to heal and be yourself. At La Rosario we want you to feel supported and at home. Our core goal is to share resources as we work (brainstorming and informal, inspired conversations at the kitchen table), live (we share basic amenities so that you don’t have to buy staples and we can generate less waste together) and move (through body-centered forms of practice). La Rosario’s founder, Awilda Rodriguez Lora, is the resident artist, host and manager of the space, and she is supported by the resident nomad, a rotating position of long-term roommate who is incubating or producing a project of their own. It is a classic Santurce home with an outside patio and just 5 minutes away from the beach. The space is airy and open. It is located in a lively neighborhood surrounded by artists/neighbors who do theater, music and film. Some nights they rehearse or work on their creative projects so if you are sensitive to sound I recommend a another space.
